The top image is the shape of the face I decided to go with as it reflects her age, which is 10 years old.
After I had sketched out a rough idea of what I wanted the new hero to look like I started sketching out types of goggles and the shape of the the chars face. I went through a few variations untill I got the shape I liked. Some of the early ones made the hero look older then 10 years old, which was the desired age range for the new char. I went back and rounded the face a little more untill I liked the result.
